Rankin Bass, purveyors of stop motion holiday specials and mid 80s action shows, dipped their toes in the Saturday morning scene for a spell in the late 60s and early 70s, with this particular show hitting right in the middle of that period. Featuring character designs by Paul Coker inspired by the books by Kenneth Grahame, the adventures of Tobias the Dragon and Mr. Toad would have fit in perfectly with Rocky & Bullwinkle. If only this show didn't debut 10 years past the point that style was in vogue...
